Who Gets to Play
A podcast about access in Canadian youth sport: who is on the ice, who is not, and why.

Who Gets to Play is an Open Ice Initiative podcast in development. The premise is the question that started this organisation: hockey is Canada's game, so why is playing it a function of family income?
What the show covers
- The economics of youth hockey and where the cost actually sits
- Programmes across Canada trying to widen access, and what works
- The research on sport participation and what it does for children
- Families, coaches and organisers talking about their own experience
