Camp opens on 15 December 2026 and runs for five days. We confirm each arena and its dates as ice is booked.

We plan to run camp at four arenas across Toronto. Each one is marked Planned until its ice is booked.
Leaside Memorial Community Gardens
1073 Millwood Road, Toronto • Leaside
TTC buses 56 Leaside and 88 South Leaside stop at Millwood Road and Southvale Drive.
Ted Reeve Community Arena
175 Main Street, Toronto • East Toronto, at Main Street and Gerrard
The 506 Carlton streetcar stops at Main and Gerrard. Main Street station on Line 2 is a 15 minute walk.
North Toronto Memorial Arena
174 Orchard View Boulevard, Toronto • Yonge and Eglinton
Eglinton station on Line 1 is a short walk away.
Upper Canada College, Wilder Arena
200 Lonsdale Road, Toronto • Forest Hill
St. Clair station on Line 1 is about a 20 minute walk. Buses also run on Avenue Road.
From applying to the last day
Five steps. We send you each date once it is confirmed.
- Apply now. Fill in the short form online, or ask us for help by phone.
- We confirm your place and arena. We write to you with your place and the arena for your child.
- Gear fitting. Before camp, your child comes to a separate session to be fitted for equipment.
- Five days on the ice. Camp runs for five days, with coaching on the ice every day.
- You keep the equipment. On the last day, your child takes the full set home. It is theirs.

There is no fee and no deposit. Families pay nothing.
What to bring
- A water bottle
- Thin socks
- A warm jacket. Arenas are cold.
That is all. We give your child everything else.
Is my child eligible?
Camps are for children aged 5 to 10 who live in Toronto. If you live just outside the city, apply anyway and tell us why; we decide case by case.
Your child does not need to know how to skate. Many campers have never been on the ice.

Open Ice Initiative is an Ontario not-for-profit corporation. We applied to the Canada Revenue Agency for charitable registration in September 2026. Until registration is granted we cannot issue tax receipts, and gifts made before registration will not be receipted.
