Six set pieces built on real photographs rather than drawings: the bag unpacked on Keep Your Gear, a lace that threads itself through a real pair of skates on Your First Morning, the countdown to Summer Camp as a puck drop at centre ice, forty empty seats among a hundred on Our Impact, a jersey with a name pressing onto the back on Sponsor a Camper, and an ice resurfacer that sweeps between sections.
Thirteen product photographs were cut out of the checkerboard they arrived on. Ten are clean and in use. Three still carry a fragment and are not used anywhere rather than shown with an artefact on them.
The partner carousel keeps its dark stage in light mode. It is a lit stage with white objects on it, and on a white page the pucks lost their edges.
Corrected throughout: Open Ice Initiative was founded in 2025, not 2024. Thirteen places said otherwise, including the structured data Google reads.
The four photographs in the home page story now settle exactly flush. The slam used to leave them five percent past centre with a six percent scale still applied, so they overlapped each other by a hundred pixels, the seam sat fifty pixels left of the middle, and the block stopped thirteen pixels short of its own frame on every side.
Card thumbnails were set to stretch to their box, which distorted any photograph that was not exactly three by two. They are cropped now, not squashed, and the meta line is pinned to the bottom so a row of cards shares one baseline.
The two CP24 articles were using the same photograph. The February studio interview now has its own.
Four legal documents, written in plain English: Terms of Service, Intellectual Property, Liability and Risk, and a rewritten Privacy Policy that says what happens to a child's medical information and who else touches it. None of them are written by a lawyer and each says so on its face.
The puck animation is gone. Both of them: the one that followed the cursor through the gallery and the one that crossed the story on the home page. There are tests now whose only job is to fail if either comes back.
A light and dark audit of every page, and the twelve faults it found are fixed. Eight places were setting a colour in a style attribute, which no stylesheet can reach, so they stayed white on a white page. Three hand drawn marks had white baked into the SVG and now follow the text. The footer band had its copyright line, its legal links and its column headings set in white at 62 percent on a pale background, which had been wrong since the footer was written. Two giant decorative numerals were under three to one.
The story on the home page keeps the dark palette in light mode. It is a cinematic sequence built around the light going out, and a light version of that is not a light design, it is a broken one.
What a camp costs has been recounted and the published figure is $860 a camper. The two largest lines in it are ice and equipment, in that order. Ice runs $300 to $450 an hour and we buy three hours a day, so a four day camp is $3,600 to $5,400 of it before a single child is fitted. A set of equipment costs us $380, because Hockey Stick Man donates part of every set outright and we buy the rest. Coaching is donated and was previously being counted as a cost, which it never was. Every page now derives its figures from one place, so they cannot disagree with each other again.
The column grid no longer runs through the words. It was drawn full height behind every section, which put a hairline down the middle of paragraphs, table rows and the footer links. It is now a short tick at the top and bottom of each block, and nothing at all across the news band or the countdown.
The drawn map of Toronto has been removed. A map with no coastline, no streets and no scale is a decoration shaped like a map, and its labels sat on top of each other below about a thousand pixels. The arenas are a table and the neighbourhoods are a list.
The glossary was laying its dividing lines by colouring the grid behind the cells. Ten terms in three columns leaves two thirds of the last row empty, and a bare slab of that colour six hundred pixels across sat under the last definition. The lines are borders on the cells now.
Both footer bands are laid on the same six columns as the rest of the site. They were four uneven tracks over five even ones, so nothing lined up with anything. The duplicate Terms link is gone.
The lace on the first morning page no longer threads itself as you scroll. It is a diagram, and it is complete the moment you look at it.
A settings panel: text size, light or dark, contrast, motion and language. The site is light by default. Nothing in the panel needs JavaScript to be correct on first paint, and every choice is remembered.
Eleven languages. What a family needs in order to apply is translated into English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Somali, Swahili, Amharic, Hausa and Yoruba, and there is a page carrying all eleven at once at /languages. The editorial pages are still in English and the site now says so in the reader's own language.
Both CP24 segments are now linked: the February 2026 studio interview and the March 2026 report from Ted Reeve. An earlier entry described the March coverage as a live broadcast, which was not accurate, and that wording is gone.
The menus are grouped. The pages people come for lead each menu, and the rest sit under headings instead of in a list of ten.
The puck that followed the cursor around the gallery has been removed.
The animated counter on the home page was still running to $800 while the total directly beneath it said $1,060. It now reads the figure out of the page, so it cannot drift again. The TorontoToday coverage summary now dates its $800 figure and gives the current one.

Text was colliding on the partner cards, the home ticker and the mobile donate bar. All fixed, and a detector now checks every page at four widths on every build.
